Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American actor, dancer and performer since the beginning of the 1990s. Her initial appearances on Broadway include in the musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside famous directors and actors on stage and screen. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career through her forthcoming projects. Ashford can be seen next as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani, as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It debuts on the 22nd November. Ashford's upcoming project is Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust and he will be starring with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford will return in 2023 and will be starring opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform the revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which produced Hamilton. Ashford has been seen most recently in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the nation's first impeachment proceedings in Over a Century. Ashford starred for two seasons on the CBS popular comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway credits are Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the lead role in Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots a performance for which she also received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and currently splits the time in Los Angeles, and New York.
