Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber on May 14th, 1964 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to a Jewish family. Suzy is now 58. Sandra Kolber is her mother and Gene Kolber is her father. Her school was Sandy Run Middle School, Dresher Pennsylvania. In 1982 she graduated from Upper Dublin High School. In 1986, she received the degree of Bachelor of Arts with a focus on telecommunications from University of Miami. While in her undergrad years she was offered the position as sports director for Dynamic located in Coral Gables Florida. Additionally, she worked at Dynamic Cable for two years, between 1984 and 1986. During this period she was also part of the team for water skiing in The University of Miami. Following her graduation from high school, she moved on a trip to New York City and began studying improv classes with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. The Tisch School of the Arts at New York University she studied the production of films and television. A stroke caused her to experience temporary expression paraphasia, which she experienced in her 20s. old.
